bad shed

annakiya Oct 10, 2004 09:44 AM

My ball is going through a bad shed right now, the temps and the humidity are perfect (70-80%). I have read some of the suggestions such as putting them in a damp pillowcase or in a container with moist paper towel etc. I was just wondering if it is best to do this right away or give them a little while on their own??? Will a bad shed stress her?

thanks

do you spray the cage and/or the snake down as it is almost time for the shed to come off? I find that gets me a perfect shed everytime. You can try the pillow case thing or maybe and little soak in the tub while you pull of pieces of the shed could work. I think the shed can bother them a bit they seem to keep trying to get it off so I would say work on getting it off as soon as you can.
