I have a pond in the backyard with koi and goldfish. When I feed the turtle's food with the fish food, the fish eat the turtle's food. I'm worried that he will starve. Should I take the turtle out.

if you are THAT worried about your turtle 'starving' you can always take it out and feed it in a different container then put it back in the pond. but honestly, you shouldnt be worried, turtles in the wild hardly ever eat. and someday, those fish will become food for the turtle!

Sorry, but turtles in the wild are opportunistic feeders and eat as much as they are able to. I would take the turtle out and feed it in a seoerate container to make sure it was getting it's proper share.

i feel that if the turtle wasnt getting enough food, he'd definitely start grubbing on those fish... but dont forget, with a pond you'll also have mosquito larvae that they will eat and i am sure there are many other bugs and 'plants' that they eat from the pond. so i'm pretty sure your turtle wont starve, but as i said before, you can always take it out and feed it in a separate container. but dont be surprised if you wake up some morning, and some of the fish are gone!
