apologies

draybar Oct 10, 2004 12:28 PM

For those of you that keep all the other species of rat snakes I would just like to apologise if you feel I am posting too many posts and pictures about Bairds Rat Snakes.
I have kept Black Rat snakes and currently have a nice Yellow Rat and a couple of Everglades so I understand the beauty and fun in other species.
But, I have become a true fan of the Bairds Rat Snake and just think people should know that these underated snakes can be an excellent addition to any collection.
So, if you are getting tired of this becoming the Bairds forum I am sorry, but what can I say? I like Bairdis.
Jimmy
For "other" fans here is a rerun pic of my Yellow Rat and a rerun pic of one of my Everglades

No apologies needed, just keep posting. I have two 03 Bairds that are just starting to show their stripes. Your photos are something that I can show to other people who don't understand why I like and keep American Rat Snakes.

I now have Blacks, Yellows, Everglades, Grays, Texans, Bairds, Corns, Great Plains, and a Trans-Pecos. I love them all. I am a fan of natural coloring but I do enjoy seeing some of the strange morphs that people post.

I think that you do a great job with your photos. So please keep on posting them.

>>That is a beautiful Great Plains.
I think I might have to look into a pair of those one of these days.
Of course, my lists of "wants" is getting longer then my list of "haves"
thanks for the comments

I remember seeing pics of your new Yellow and Grey rat snakes the other day.
The Yellow has a cool looking pattern. almost frosted looking and that White Oak is simply stunning.
Great additions to any collection.

This goes back to what I said earlier, way to many "wants"
I love those White Oaks and I am also looking seriously at Trans Pecos.
I have seen some very nice specimens of those lately.
Oh well, one thing at a time
