New Baby Albino Keeps Licking Everything... is That Normal?

I just got a new baby albino gecko, got him/her about an hour ago and he/she's licking everything in the cage. Is this normal? She was drinking from the water bowl earlier so i don't think that its because she's thirsty. Thanks

She is just investigating, They can sense smells and heat with there tounge. Sortof like snakes.

Its only her first day in her new tank and she's already ate ten crickets and drank out of the water bowl and licked some of the calcium suppliment!!! I was so suprised cuz everyone says that new geckos don't eat for a day or two after such a stressful expierence.
