beardie sick

gavinclews Oct 10, 2004 05:47 PM

Can you overfeed a beardie?? I fed my 7 week old more than usual on crickets a few hours a go and now he has just been sick. He jumped off his basking spot, wiggled his head around a bit and then threw up. Its never happened to any of my beardies before. is this dangerous?? He jumped straight back on his log and started basking again so i dont think he is that bothered about it. What do you all think?

Yes, the same thing happened to my bearded when I gave em A LIL too much corn.If you could see the food only a little digested he should be fine: but if its entirely digested you could have a problem and i recommend a vet.

I would say its sort of semi digested

If they eat too much at once they can regurgetate. I would leave him be for today, feed him the normal amount of crickets/greens tomorrow and see if he's sick again. IF not then don't worry about it, if she throws up again, may be a gastronic or parasite problem, which would require a vet check.
