3 STRIPED MUD HATCHLING NOT EATING: NEED HELP

wdstck474 Oct 10, 2004 06:03 PM

I recently aquired a three striped mud turtle hatchling. He is only quarter size and cannot be more than a few months old, as his yolk scar can still be seen. Ive had him for more than three days and he has not eaten anything. Ive tried various pellets, krill, crickets, freeze dried blood worms and veggies, but he refuses to eat them. He is my first turtle, and i really want him to survive, so if anyone can give me suggestions on what to feed him and how to feed him I would be very greatful.

dont worry about your turtle yet. i have had turtles that i hatched out that ate with in the first week and some that didn't eat for 3 months. he'll eat when hes ready. also make sure that your temperatures are warm enough to stimulate feeding. good luck with your mud turtle
