Well Amazons in general arn't too hard to care for as they tend to be hardier than your other arboreal boids. However neonates are most vunerable, and the cannot tolerate as much variations in humidty and temperature as adults can. They need moderate to high humidity (although studies have shown in the wild for there to be some variations in humdity preference and habitat amongst different wild populations (Henderson, 1997)). But they certainly do not do well in low humidty for extended time periods and misting is needed. As far as prices go? The more desirable the color the more pricy a snake becomes...for example your more common garden or halloween phases run $75-100 CBB (give or take), while more "desireable" reds and yellows may run you $150-300 . ATBs undergo an ontogenic color change, so their color intensities and patterns may change over time. It is always interesting after ecdysis to see how the skin has changed. Anyways, ATB's can be nippy, but mine are very handleable...(that is after i remove them from their enclosure with a hook). Well if you need more info try www.corallus.com for some great information. Best of Luck!
