Swedish Jungle Boa, new animal.

inkognito Oct 10, 2004 06:42 PM

Hello.

Just to add some to the jungle debat.

I bougth this animal last year from a private induvidual,
she said it was a jungle boa.
Iv checked it out but none of the know breeders of jungles in sweden knows this animal.

It was sold to a reptile special store 6 years ago, went to the private induvidual 6 years ago. presumed at the age of 2 back then.

when it came to the store it came with two siblings with less striping. they sold to unknows.

So when I saw Mike (basicly boas) striped jungle I had to show mine.

So what do you "jungle" people feel is possible, is this a jungle or just another striped variation of boas comming from the same local area as the know jungle boas.

regards

Brad..

it's patterns definitely look jungle to me. It is kind of hard to tell from your picture but the jungles I've seen tend to be sort of a different color with a more pronounced head if that makes sense. Regardless that animal is simply awesome and I would LOVE to own it.

It is a single picture, you don't know the sex, and there is nothing in the picture to give an accurate size comparison.. Also as was said in the original post it was in other collections for a considerable time. jmho

If someone says it looks like the sweed jungles they can get flamed. If someone says its not then why it has pattern and colr of the sweeds. So the only way is to prove it with breeding it to a sweed jungle. I feel no one wants to chance it so theres only one way to be sure and we all know what that is by now breed it , then breed the babies , breed them again and theres some really hardcore guys out there so breed them again. So with that said 20 years from now we'll know the answer. All the breedings were a joke but to honestly prove it out you will need to breed the adult then one of the first litter back to the adult then breed one of those babies to an unrelated. Then you will have your answer. Or you can buy a sweed jungle then breed them togeather and if i have there genetics right you should get all jungles and some super jungles. If anyhing is wrong here guys and gals please feel free to correct me. Paul
