I just joined and was hoping someone could answer a question about my ball python. His has saliva coming from his mouth. I asked at about it at the pet store and they said it might have a cold. What can you tell me about colds in ball pythons and what can I do for my snake?

and I would make the visit pretty soon. He has what is called an upper respiratory infection, and when you only have one functioning lung, that can be pretty serious. He needs medicine.

to the ball python forum here on kingsnake and ask questions, also. They are a forum specifically for ball pythons (obviously) and have LOTS more experience with the problems that these snakes have. You can post here, also, if you want, since this is the generic python forum, but we don't have the level of expertise that they have. I have included a link below to access the forum easily.
