Grey-banded x Sinaloan Milksnake (Is it a Good price?)

Sei Oct 10, 2004 10:50 PM

We really like this hybrid we found in a local pet store and we are thinking of buying it. Is $95 a good price for it?

I was just at a shoiw a few weeks ago and a guy had that same intergrade for 40-50 bucks. For an intergrade thats still too much for me, but thats me. Paul

The sinloan X greyband would not be a intergrade but it would be a hybrid.

The price you said you saw at a show may have been for babies that have not fed. Usually these are very hard to start feeding. Once they have fed on unscented pinks the breeders mark up the price substantially.

But pet stores are all gonna hike the price up 100% to make a profit.

If you can, wait and hit a reptile show, and you will get a way better deal, besides, you might find something else at the show that you like better!!!

And for the most part, breeders have better animals and will try and help you out if you have a problem with the animal. Most pet stores probably only have a 24 hour guarantee, and then will only give you credit!

Most breeders wont have mites either. And the snake should be a well established feeder. You never know about pet stores. I NEVER buy snakes from pet stores! But that is just my own preference.

You didn't metion if it was a neonate or an adult? Male or female? All these things factor in the price.

GreybandxSinaloan is a beautiful hybrid. But because of the greyband gene the babies tend to be small and they can be very difficult to start feeding. Most require scented pinks for the first couple feedings.

Now if this snake is a well stareted neonate or adult or sub-adult $95 is a steal.
