Can i put up a few egg boxes in a room that i can keep at the right temp????in other words can i heat the whole room at 85deg. while i got the eggs in styrofoam coolers as egg boxes?or do i need to have them in a hovabator or one like it?

I lost 14 eggs using two hovabators last year.
Use a 1500 watt oil filled heater, with a Helix 1500 watt system and keep the room at 90 degrees. also don't use styrofoam boxes, use some sort of rubbermaid containers.

Ralph's way works! Here's a good link

Hovabators work well for me as I have hatched a number of species in them as well as ball pythons (4 for 4 this year). The thing I would recommend is not to use the ones that come with a built in fan.
I just put the eggs in a tupperware container run a temp probe in with the eggs and go from there. (These are possible double hets for orange ghost x albino)

Ok,,,i wanna do this right the first time,,,,,hovabator or not that is the question...i need an expansion ring kit for the hovabator...im just wondering what i can use to get a high hatch rate, which is why im considering a whole room heated..

I used one this year. All the eggs in the first clutch hatched and the babies are doing well. My 2nd clutch is pipping now. Besides 1 infertile egg that I removed early on, it looks like all the eggs in the second clutch will hatch also.

You don't incubate eggs at 85F for one.

But yes, an entire room would work. It works very well in fact.
