How/when to double breed?

Snake_Charmer Jun 28, 2003 01:25 AM

I was wondering if anyone could tell me when and how to double breed kingsnakes. About how long after she lays her first clutch should the next breeding take place? Anything specific I need to do for her or him to help get them 'in the mood'?
Thanks!

The female needs to be large and should be at least 3 years old. After egg laying feed her as much as possible (sometimes they eat right away and some wait a couple days before feeding) and as soon as she finishes throw the male back in . If the female was fat and healty before her first breeding she should fair well for her second clutch of eggs.
