Hermes and his new pal

the4thmonkey Oct 11, 2004 12:07 PM

Hermes is 6 weeks old today and he is a huge little pig!! The new wild caught hatchling is doing well. We have had her a week now and she is settling in. I still think she is a female and I am waiting for her to tell me her name. I have posted a pic we took of them last night. Good thing we did because Hermes is not very photogenic right now. He is, for some reason, covered with poop and is about to get a bath!

We may have all come on different ships, but we're in the same boat now.

I thought they were looking pretty good too, but it sure is good to hear that from someone with tons of experience. I have not seen the little girl eat yet, but obviously she must be getting something before Hermes gulps everything in sight! I think they will both end up with quite a bit of yellow with some on their heads. Hermes is quite social and loves to be held while she is still a bit fearful but much better. Since she was captured so young will she be more like a captive-born than my wc adults?

Ton of experience, hheehe,

Nah, I just have a TON of lizards, LOL
always in the LEARNING process,

Your wc girl should be very sweet, if she was caught real young. I have a wc male that I received at 2 weeks old, just like having a CB , tame as a puppy dog.
