Coraling in the lines.....

Guy Scavone II Oct 11, 2004 03:16 PM

I think I finally figured out the trick to figuring out which albinos will coral up.... hang onto every one you produce for at least 18 months

Almost a year old...

6 Months later...

The coral albinos that I have and the ones that are "coraling" up are incredibly difficult for me to photograph. It probably would help if my digital camera was a little nicer and if I had some formal training, but I'm trying

Thanks,

This one (I've posted her pics here before) was born here on Feb. 4, 2002. In October of that year I had her at the IRBA show in San Diego and would have sold her as a regular albino without any hesitation - she was the dullest, least-colorful, lowest-contrast albino in the litter. Even a few months later I only held her back because she was the only one that was distinctly different from all the rest - and not in an especially good way at the time. Then she turned into what you see below. Definitely a case of "better to be lucky than good!"
Don't let those ugly ducklings get away too soon, because you never know.......!
