To soak or not to soak...

jojobear Oct 11, 2004 05:03 PM

...that is the question. I have read vast amounts of information about monitors and some say soak and others say don't soak. My question is after many years without monitors, or any herps, I got myself three 6-8 week old yellow ackies and am wondering do I soak them on a regular basis?

If you set them up properly, and your husbandry is along the correct lines, then there is absolutely no need to soak.
Good luck, ackies are great

I have soaked and sprayed some rescues I recieved that were dehyderated. After a few times I just give them a tub big enough to soak in if they want too. They don't seem to want to very often.

Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.

i keep almost all my monitors in dirt, so from time to time i soak them, not very often, mostly to take good pics, it gets to be a pain in the behind when monitors start getting big though, not that you will have that problem with ackies.
