savannah cage

how long would a 70 gallon last a sav (4' wide 18'' deep and 2' high) and what furnishings and substrate should I use.

not too long, for some reason a good size full grown savannah just looks cramped in aquariums. My savannah is sharing a cage similar to those dimensions, and it is only 21" long, and it is starting to get cramped, because proper hides for the size of the monitor will take up a large area of space in that aquarium, im building a 6x4x4 for mine that way you can have multiple hides, and use deep substrate, im using 6-12" of cypress now but im switching to sand soil when they go to the big cage.
