I caught this little gal stuck to a wad of packing tape INSIDE on of the shops at work (north east texas). A little vegetable oil and some persistance and she came free (minus a few scales)
So far she's doing good and eating chunks of F/T toad (I couldn't catch any small enough)
check out the red
When I was younger I caught at least one hognose per year but they waned as the fire ants took control. After a decade without finding one, this is my second in 2 years. The first one was an adult, caught crossing a road in the spring. I released him right back where I caught him after some pics. Hopefully he went on to make some more baby hognose. This one I will offer to a friend of mine who is doing some breeding with them. I like to think this is a sign that what you release comes back to you in time.
