New to Reptiles, please advise?

Hi, I've always wanted a small reptile and I can finally get one. The only problem is I'm going to college at the end of the summer (which is why I can get one, parents can't say no lol) and have limited space/restrictions. I can have an aquarium up to 20 gals but I already have that stocked full of fish. I'm also taking 2 hermit crabs in a plastic kritter keeper. What I would like to know is are there any newts/salamanders I can keep in a small plastic kritter keeper? I want a frog but can't because of noise. I'll post a pic of the keeper I am talking about but in case that doesn't work I'll post a link. I just need the names of a few ideal ones. Thanks!

In my opinion even the largest critter keeper shown would be too small for any newt/sallie to live in a healthy and comfortable way. Wasn't quite sure if this answered your question because these are amphibians, yet your post reads: "New to Reptiles".
