saturday will not come soon enough

jeune18 Oct 12, 2004 10:22 AM

so this saturday i am going to my first reptile show (my mom just might put it in my baby book, ha ha)and i was wondering what to expect. is it like peace and love of all the herp lovers coming together? or is it like the day after thanksgiving at a shopping mall?
also if i do happen to see some collareds, what prices could i expect. well i know about how much regular collareds are and kaiser was more than likely a bargain at $20 for a bicinctores. i just don't want to be overcharged for being an uninformed idiot i have no idea if i am going to buy anything but sometimes i just cannot contain myself

I've been to some where, the animals are clearly stressed, and have not been getting adequate care. Other times, you will find some people that have incredible animals. Just don't give in and impulse buy, just because you think you can help. Promote those people who you really would like to see come back on a regular basis, and not the ones profitting from selling bunk.

oh i will definitely only buy from good people. no more rescue buying for me. i feel for the animals but the vendors need to learn to feel for them too.

lol, yeah that is like my mom and the humane society. my dad only lets her go in every once in a while because she always comes out with something. having an extremely picky alpha dog has also helped bring down the number of animals
