My Cali King escaped this am. Any advice on how to lure him back? Dog is acting normal and there are now signs of blood, so I'm assuming he is loose.

I hope you meant there is "NO" sign of blood and not there is "NOW" signs of blood! The best advice I can offer is look everywhere! Then go back and look again. I found a snake in a 3 ring binder before, and last month my ball python escaped and was found behind the computer monitor. Keep looking, think like a snake. You just got out of a small enclosure and now find yourself in a larger one. Follow the walls around, look for openings you might fit into, and think warmth.

My king was missing for 6 weeks before she showed up under the porch, so dont overworry about it. If she doesnt turn up right away, she may still turn up. Look under everything, even in places you dont think she will fit. Snakes like snug areas to hide in.

I tried to lure mine back by placing her meal (I discovered she was missing after I got her a mouse) in a cup and letting it run across the room in the direction of her cage. I was hoping to leave a scent trail for her to follow and the cup was to keep the mouse from getting away and guidance. I placed the mouse in the cage and left the lid open hoping she would find the scent and follow it to the cage, eat, and retreat to her hide so that she would be there the next morning. I dont know if this will work or not, my snake was outside, and that was the only time I tried it. Made sense to me, but I dont know.
