Jw but how long do rats last when kept in your freezer? the rats won't be vacuumed sealed. My BP is finally eating FT rats and he/she is taking weaned rats, however the smallest quantity to order from rodentpro.com is 20. Will the rats last for 4-5 , months in the freezer?

I would get a vacuum sealer and reseal your rodents. Vac sealed would probably triple your freezer life. Otherwise I am thinking you are stretching it with 4 or 5 months.

I fed my boas a normally wrapped one ina sealed bag 3mnths old and she wouldn't take it, i offered the vacuumed sealed ones and she took them, they get a different smell to them when not properly sealed, vacuum sealed is the way to go.

diggy makes a good point, rodents will pick up odors from what's stored around them and freezer "smell" unless there vacuum packed.i have found big cheese rodent factory is priced about the same as rodentpro and they vacuum seal there rodents.they harvest rodents on tue. and ship on wed.,can't get fresher.i've been told vacuum packed rodents kept at 0 degrees will last two years.have fun!
