Ready To Breed?

tatoo Oct 12, 2004 03:44 PM

Hi, i'm going to try and insert my first pic on this message so it might not work, sorry ahead of time

Well, i bought my female granite/male het granite in october 2004(NARBC!) and they were a few months old and like 20-24". well, my male is about 7.5-8' and female is somewhere between 9 and 10'. the picture shows the female nect to a 1-' measuring tape for size comparison. both have bben in 100% health condition and feeding like better than one could expect since i bought them. Great attitudes, never been bit! love to be handled.... in other words, they're the closest to perfect burms as i would have ever expected. so, we're getting the male his own cage this weekend as they've been sharng a 6x3 vision and now will each have their own. so, could they be sexually mature at this age(17 months) and size? if so, how long do they need to be kept seperate before breeding can occur and is it to late in the seeson to start the process? well, any input would be great. as this willhopefully be my very first breed and i've been anxious for this for like 7 years since i've been into herps. so, thanks in advance and here're some pics:

I dont know about the size issue but i think you can breed them anytime of the year if you want...just depends on when you start
