ok, we all know what a pied ball python is, but my friend who went to the daytona show said that there was a dealer who had a pied BRB on display! Does anyone have any pics??

I've never heard of a pied BRB but Brian Sharp has a Calico. Check out the link below.
Brian Sharp's Calico BRB
YES, Brian Sharp had this EXACT snake at the Daytona reptile Expo. It is not a super-colorful Brazilian, But MAN what a cool pattern (or lack thereof). I took a good long look (several times) and was amazed at how white the white scales were. I once saw photos of a pied Colombian rainbowboa, but am not sure who has that snake now. I have not heard of a pied Brazilian, BUT if you see one, PLEASE TELL ME ABOUT IT.!!!!
I feel that rainbowboas are soon going to have a large assortment of color/pattern morphs for enthusiasts to choose from. In the May issue of reptiles (p.18… I believe) there is a photo of a T- albino Colombian rainbowboa and Brian Sharp already has T albino colombian rainbowboas. There are all sorts of new mutations popping up now that people are looking to breed the morphs. The recent ball python craze has exacerbated this situation similar to the hype around all of the corn snake morphs several years ago.
I think that Corn Snakes offer a better idea to what the rainbowboa morphs have to offer much better than Ball pythons do, because I do not believe that ball pythons produce any red pigments and of course Brazilians do. You can see the level of phenotypic diversity that cornsnakes have attained due to two decades of selective breeding and crosses and a little luck. I think that rainbowboa morphs will be close to the same level of diversity in the next ten to 15 years, and I cannot wait to see what they all look like.
If you have any unusual rainbowboas, PLEASE POST PICTS. I look at the forums almost monthly, and I am glad that rainbowboas are gaining a following of people that believe as I do that they are fantastic reptiles that are easy to keep, easy to breed and usually pretty docile if they are handled regularly as babies.

Brian was talking about selling it a few months ago...but how do you put a price tag on that? The thing is...or at least my understanding is....the phenotypic condition that snake is displaying has not been replicated. There are no other homozygous "calico," and the offspring from that male have not proven to be heterozygous.
I worry that people will start crossing Colombian ssp. with Brazilian ssp. to spread the morphs around. Now...I'm not a purist...(making Salmontines and Bcc/Bci albinos kind of negates that) but normal BRB's are still one of my favorite snakes. Don't get me wrong, I can't wait to see a ghost BRB, but I think it's the color(which is taken out or reduced in most color morphs) that make ECC appealing to me....
Take care, Chris O

they were in chicago too. but they were calling it a calico or something because they didn't know if it was pied or not. blah. i didn't take a picture of it though. i personally don't think it looks good. it looks like someone pressed a heating lamp on top of it and burnt al of its skin off.
