LOVE IS IN THE AIR!!!

I haven't posted in a while, but those of you who do know me know I had a horrible season last year mostly due to the fact that my wife was in her last trimester during the breeding season and could barely walk the last two months! Well, I was able to get things started early this year! And so far things are looking good! This is my Coral albino male breeding my albino female!

Looks great, but have a question. Is albino to albino breedings the way to go? What is the benifit besides more albinos per litter? Would you not have been better with another pair of hets to go with those? Also what kind of wood chips do you use? They look great and I like the look. Thanks for posting and good luck.

PS, have you ever had a female that did not have a post ovulation shed? What happened? Thanks Andrew

I really don't see what you are saying about the Hets. The whole point in having hets is to make albinos, anerys or any other simple reccesive mutation. Except you get half as many statistically speaking. So if albinos are what you are after and your animals come from completely unrealted parents, Why not breed albinoXalbino and produce more of what you were after in the first place! Joel Dubay produced a beautiful litter of albinos this past year from an albinoXalbino pairing. The main thing when pairing two animals together that are simple reccesive mutaions is having outcrossed blood although.. Tom Burke did breed his sibling pair of T Nics to produce the first CBB T so it just goes to show just because animals are realted does not mean you will have deformed babies. If outcrossed bloodlines are available of course they should be used!
