Go to bluetongueskinks.net and Zach has a great caresheet there. If you have any questions post on the forums, I'm bluey boy!!!

Cage size should be 40 gal or larger, floor space is more important than height. Aspen is a good substrate. I would say they are calmER than a beardie. I got my fourth bluey today!!!

Great site couple other quick questions is there no risk of impaction with a substrate like aspen sorry if this is a dumb question but I am new to these guys. Also once I get my setup ready where is the best place to buy I would like a baby or a juvie.

No there isnt really a problem with aspen shavings but sometimes shredded aspen can get into their noses and ears and stuff. With babies your best off using towels and sheets.

As for where to buy from, look at the bts.net classifieds. I highly reccomend Ray Gurgui. I believe he still has some Northerns, Easterns, and Tanimbars available.

I'll second the recommendation for Ray Gurgui. I just got one of his babies. Not only is it a beautiful, healthy skink, but Ray is a great guy if you have questons about his babies. The only problem with Ray's babies is deciding which one to get! The are all beautiful. Mine is an Eastern, from his hypo-melanistic line.
