Question about pinheads,,,,,,,

cnb2 Oct 12, 2004 06:09 PM

How can i prevent raising up a pin head boa. Is it ok to feed a boa once a week or should i wait 10 to 14 days. I have two colombian 04 babies that i'm raising and i want to make sure i raise them right.
Sincerly,
Chuck

For the first 6 months, keep the meals small. It shouldn't leave a lump for more than a day or so. Feeding them once every 5-7 days is fine as long as the meals aren't too big. Don't feed them while there in shed...most boas WILL eat while in their shed cycle, but this is time for the snake to renew and clean its entire system. Often snakes will deficate when they shed their old skin, for an example of this renewal.

Take care, Chris O
