I know alot of people say to clip the heads of them before feeding because they can cause damage inside the animal.Personally I don't believe this but I gonna ask just in case is it true or not?
thanks

I'm not sure if it is true or not but hold one so it can pinch you and make your own decision.

Personally I don't think they could because have you ever accidentally dropped one in water? They drown almost instantly .Plus the digestive juices and oxygen would kill them pretty quickly.Does anyone know for a fact whether its true or not?
I've been feeding superworms for years now to Pacman frogs, and Pixie frogs...and against everyone's advice to my leopard geckos.
I've yet to have one it eats way out of my animals.
Yeah they pinch, but I'm not biting down on it, and then covering it in liquids, and digestive acids.
This question has been gone over before here.
For those that feel more comfortable nipping off the heads..continue to do so.
Those that feed whole, continue to do so...whatever works best for you.
Why not to leopard geckos? I've fed them to leopards for over ten years now.
Personally I'm not concerned about the interior of the frog but somepeople may make a different decision when they feel how hard they can pinch.
Ed
Why are you only concerned about the frogs? Is it since they don't really chew their food?

Just curious. Do worms have like an energy rush? Like adrenaline. If so couldn't they have just enuff strngth to bite a frog before dieing? Just wondering.

3 Baby Whites Treefrog (Faygo, Fanta, Max)
1 Pacman (Big Mac)
3 Cats (Cindy, Rex, Tabby)
1 Mississippi Map Turtle (Lucky)
1 Parakeet (Swifty)
I dunno the whole thing sounds like a uh o the animal died must've been the superworms bullcrap.Lets blame it on the worms cause we can't keep our animal in the proper conditions.Least thats what I think.
AS I said above I'm not too concerned for the frogs. Mainly because I have heard what sounds like bones crunching by large female pacman frogs grabbing and swallowing small adult mice. I suspect these frogs crush prey quite well (although Zoophobas may just be swallowed whole).
Some animals if grabbed or bitten by prey items (even if it is an irritation) may refuse that food item in the future. The reason I suggested letting one pinch yourself is that the person may decide that he doesn't want to risk any pain or injury to the frog and will cruch the heads. Its up to them. There really wasn't any hint in the thread of the old mealworms burrowing out of the frog myth. The person was worried if the worm could cause any damage at all.
