Questions....

I'm fairly new to the snake thing. I've had my snake for about 3 months. She seems to be growing fine, she eats once a week and has never turned down food. I'm concerned that my enclosure isn't hot enough. In the day, I heat it with a heat lamp, and at night, I use a ceramic heat emitter. I've never actually checked the temp, but what if it isn't hot enough? My snake seems to be fine. Is there any long term side effects? A question about the enclosure, I live in a dorm, so the size of my enclosure is limited. Right now, her cage is 24" I think she is probably about 26-28". A reptile specialist by my house said that the snake could be 1 1/2 times the length of the cage. Does that sound about right? What do you guys think?
Thankyou

I would buy a thermometer immediately and check the temp.

SNL Behind the Music spoof with Christopher Walken as the producer and Will Ferrell on cowbell. If you don't know what it is, you really need to watch The SNL Best of Will Ferrell.

Look's Great,if it's say 24" by 24",you could keep your snake in there till he's 48", the length and width of your cage should not be shorter, than the length of the snake.Man aint no way you can tell temp's without a "Thermometer" you need one, you can get a cheap'o is better than none and not knowing ! ! You want your cool side around 76 to 78 degree's Never lower than 76,Hot side 88 to 90 degree's,Humidity is also inportant i'd go for 60 % and 75 % plus when in the shedding cycle, you can go to Wal-Mart and get a Combo Temp. and Humidity Gauge, also get a Garden Mister/Spray Bottle that way you can mist and maintain your humidity level's.
Have A Good One ! !
