I appologize for the second post. I was wondering if you could give me any care info on Cyclura & Ctenosaura. I'm not sure as to which to devote my time to, but would like suggestions. Space is not an issue, as is size is not a factor as well. And any breeders you can name would be helpfull as well, as I really don't know any around the area. I know David Blair breeds several species, but his site as far as I can tell hasn't been updated in a long time. Thanks for checking out my post, and any info you can provide.
Take Care,
Branden

Any "good" husbandry info that you can find on Green Iguanas will apply to Cyclura and Ctenos with little adjustment. Cyclura seem to be comfortable at ground level so having a really tall habitat is not necessary. The diet is the same altho I do add some grain sources to my Cyclura diet.

If you are looking for a pet lizard I'd definately go with a Cyclura over a Cteno. There are exceptions but most Ctenos don't become wonderful pets. If you are looking for a breeding project I'd love to see more people working with the Ctenos. I have pairs of similis, palearis, and quinque's here.

There are several people out there breeding Cyclura but hybrids (nice ones) can be hard to come by. Kevin Brown and Bob Ehrig are both breeding hybrids but you will probably have to be put on a waiting list. Also, watch the classifieds. Florida Iguana and Tortoise Breeders sold a bunch of hybrids a couple of years ago. Every once in a while you'll see one offered for sale.

Ryan Blakely at Walter's World of Pets breeds hybrids... Although some people will tell you his are high in cuban blood.

Is there any way you can supply me with their e-mails? I just thought I would ask. Can you give me anything on Blair? Is he still in the hobby? Thanks a bunch.

David Blair's Critter Corner: email - Critter@herpnut.com, ph# 760-746-5422. He is the only breeder that I am aware of that also provides a care sheet and is available 5 days a week with some of the best husbandry advice. Good luck.
