jiffypop; about your cyclura hybrid

backyard_herps Oct 13, 2004 12:01 AM

Jiffypop, where or from whom did you get this magnificent cyclura lewisi hybrid.I have a pair from Blair, but they don't look as pure lewisi as your guy.I would greatly appreciate it if you could tell me where I could get a relative of this guy to add to the family. Thanks for your time,Backyard Herps.

Azul's breeder is no longer producing Cyclura and has sold off all of his stock. I have no idea what became of any of Azul's clutchmates either. I do know the location of his father tho...he's with a private collector in Wyoming. I've been told that his mother, who was originally a zoo animal and is missing a leg, ended up at the Life Fellowship in Florida.

I also have a 6 or 7 year old female hybrid that I believe is probably Blair stock. She is not as attractive as Azul but has an amazingly sweet and affectionate personality. We had breeding take place here just a couple of weeks ago. I'm keeping fingers crossed because last year while gravid she developed an infection and I almost lost her.

I really hope she produces a fertile clutch this year , if so please put me down for one of them. Thanks for all your help,

I believe Life Fellowship was a major cyclura exhibitor/breeder back in the 80's ? All the animals were auctioned off. I don't think it exists anymore.
