Where are the Butterscotch Ghosts?

CJBianco Oct 13, 2004 04:05 AM

I've been searching everywhere online for Butterscotch Ghosts and Butterscotch Ghost Hets and nobody has them. Where'd they all go? Is there a Butterscotch convention somewhere???

Aaaaarrrggghhhhhhhhh,
Chris

I have been looking for sometime for nice ones and picked up a male and recently picked up a pair of hets this weekend at the Tinley Park NARBC (Thanks again, Kara!).

The photo is the male ghost I have in shed.

Great looking ghost! Please post photos of him when he sheds.

Try Joe Compel Reptiles. I am pretty sure he works with the butterscotch line and had a 100% het male and 2 50% het females available not too long ago. Also, watch the classifieds, another person has been posting an add for a pair of 100% hets for butterscotch ghost there as well.

Yeah. It looks like he's got a lot of Possible Hets. I think I'll keep looking. Thanks for the tip, though. =)

Ooohh...Black Back Butterscotch! He's absolutely breath-taking!

Unfortunately, I hear my wallet screaming "Hets Only!" =)

Then again... I have a female Het Piebald that I could maybe do some trading with.

Their Bell line of hypos are butterscotch....Not Joe Compels line, but they are butterscotches and very nice at that....If you look on ballpythonmorphs.com Sean has a super looking hypo that is their line....Good luck with it...

I visited that site, too. There aren't any listed in the Available section. And so...my journey continues. I may just settle for a single male Het Butterscotch I found, and get the female Het whenever I find one available. Or maybe I'll just save a little and buy a Homo Butterscotch sometime next year...if I can.

I'm not actually set on the Butterscotch, I'm just looking for a Ghost and happened to run across the Butterscotch. Regardless, if the Homo Ghost males were a little less, I'd be one happy camper! =)

Thanks for all the help! You guys ROCK!

I know Sean doesn't have any available, but the Bell's don't have a site....You have to get there number and give them a call or find them at a show...I don't have their number, but I'm sure if you make a thread about it someone will respond to it with their number...Worth a shot...I should have some avaiable next season, but as most won't be letting any females go....Good luck tracking some down!

Bell sold all ghosts & pastels. They are working with pastel X ghosts now, and I doubt he has any normal ghosts or pastels left.

So far I've seen Green, Yellow, Orange, and Butterscotch Ghosts. Are there really four (4) different lines? Which ones are the least expensive... most compatible... anyone know?

I like the looks of the Butterscotch and Green Ghosts best, but I've also seen many without colorful descriptive names -- just listed as plain ol' Ghost/Hypos. Is this a fifth line?

There are also different lines of those different lines of hypos. I know Joe Compel's came from the wild. Graziani also had his own line of hypos....as well as the Snakekeeper has their "extreme" hypo. Sean probably won't be letting many go once he starts having them available (he keeps everything...) So your best bet for actually finding one is saving for a few months and this summer when the baby rush comes pick one up....its just alot harder to find stuff right now just because whatever anyone was going to keep or sell...they've already done it and breeding is starting again....

Yeah. I've been thinking...

I have a female 100% Het Piebald. I see they're running about $1500. I've seen pairs of 100% Het Hypo/Ghosts going for around $600. I've also seen pairs of 100% Albinos going for about $700. Now all I have to do is find some one with both who is willing to do some trading. LOL =)

Yeah. Good Luck With That...Kiddo,
Chris =)
