Just wondering if anyone has had or has reported any bad effects of using wheat bran as a substrate for BDs.
Also anyone discover anything similar or an alternative to wheat bran?
Thanks,
Liz

Well, it's better than sand that's for sure. The only problems I've heard with it are a couple of vent impactions (from external not ingested) and that you can't get it wet AT ALL or it molds. I would also suspect that it could harbor bacteria if not kept after all the time.
