Hi everyone. I recently bought my new boa and the last week her eyes started clouding in prep for her shed.... the eyelids came off over 2 days ago now but still ne sign of her shedding! My BP usually sheds the day after losing his lids so i'm not sure what to expect with my boa. Her temperature is fine and humidity is fine too... Any ideas?

She may just need more time. My subocs will shed within a day or so of their eyes clearing up. On the other hand, I have a TX Long-nose that usually takes four to five days before it gets going. For example, he went blue on a Thursday, cleared up by Sunday, but didn't shed until the next Thursday. I say give her another couple of days. If there is still no change, check your humidity levels one more time, just in case. If all else fails, and it looks like it's going to be a bad shed, you can place her in a Rubbermaid container filled with enough water for her to soak in. That should be enough to take care of any dryness, but if it's only been a couple of days, at this point, I don't see it being necessary. Keep us updated...

The eyelids arent actually coming off before they shed. They just clear up and then within a few days they usually shed. Everything sounds fine for now.
