Since the experts don't want to guess I am going to say a intergrade floridana X ?

JETZEN Oct 14, 2004 01:01 PM

Thanks, I appreciate your opinion.

...but I can't really say that with any certainty. Where did you get it? Do you know anything more about the snake?

JETZEN Oct 14, 2004 01:36 PM

I bought this snake from an animal dealer he said it's a red blotched king. I asked for more info and he told that's what the wholesaler said and didn't know anymore. THE red blotches disappeared after only a few sheds, Thanks for your honest opinion, FL-x-EASTERN is good enough for me.

After seeing the body shot I will have toi say floridana X goini. There is a goini (Apalchicola) influence. I have seen some before that were floridana X apalachicola bred back to floridana that looked like that.

That's possible he will probly show more obvious signs as he gets older, thanks

I agree it is definently an Eastern with probably FL mixed in. Should be a beautiful and big snake! How old is it now? - Matt
