how are chuckawalla's as pets
I purchased my first male at 12 weeks old 4 years ago, at first they behave in a skiddish sort of way! Have to be so patient.
Each day I handled him against his wishes.
Finally it payed off and he got older and just became a big ole lap chuck, (Chewalla) he loves being scratched around the neck, he is in love with me and head bobs, and does push-ups for me too,
ALOT of personality !
I have a disabled girl who is spunky to say the least, alot of attitude, funny.
I also got another male last year he was a yearling, and he is also becoming a real nice tame chuck.
So MY answer, I think they are very COOL PETS ! Have to give attention, and handle. Don't give up! The outcome is well worth it.
Its also a SIGHT to watch them eat,
they really dig in and enjoy their salads, if your looking for a refined DAINTY eater, hahahah dont get a chuckwalla, they eat like SLOBS

Go in the classifieds and check ou the add for them. They are better pets than bearded dragons. They are not the best to look at but they make up for it in personality. They get big and sweet. And you cannot beat that price. You won't be disappointed.
