i had to return the water dragon i had. it dint have RI it just got some water in its lungs. which it got rid of threw his nose. the reason i have to get rid of him tho is because he has parasites and i found a captive WD breeder. i was planning on buying a female form him but thn the captive bred would be fresh meat for the parasites. so i was planning on geting a female AWD and a male CWD. would th work

Its sad that you actually returned him, Parasites are very easy to get rid of, if you cant afford the cash or time to get rid of parasites, why own a water dragon? Yes they do get along though.

ok.. so i'm a little confused... you found out it had parasites you returned it the store ???? did you take it to the vet and have a fecal done.. and then decided to pay for the fecal and not get the meds for the water dragon... and if you returned it why wouldn't you just get two of the same kind like 2 cwds or 2 awds... yes the species get along.. but wouldn't it be easier to have 2 of the same kind??? i'm not trying to sound rude i am just very confused about this whole situation... i am glad it didn't have ri but what was it doing sleeping in the water??? i suggest before you get another one you are prepared and knowledgable about it.. be it a leopard gecko, awd, or cwd... the species that you are looking at getting do get parasites.. can get sick ...and live a long life in captivity.. not something to buy on a whim...

sory i didnt get to type the whole thing i was a lil rushed. ok what happened was.i bought 1 waterdragon and was planning on geting another 1 soon. after i found out tht the one water dragon might have RI i didnt want to get my other dragon sick even tho vet was free first 15days of owning the lizard. also the second water dragon i was gettign was captive breed and probly gonna be fresh meat for the farm raised draogns parasites. i was buying the captive bread dragon from a friend so i decided to take the other dragon back. he was ding really bad neways and didnt seem like he was going to last very long. also if i were to wait till the parasites are gone, it would take 6 months before its completly safe. captive bread react worse to parasites then lizards that are used to them. plus i wouldnt be able to touch the sick dragon for 6 months which can make them not used to humans and bite. now my uncle who owned lizards all his life sed to just return it to the store which made sense but pained me to se the poor guy returned. now hes being takign to the vet by the store and will hopefuly live. i just wouldnt be able to stand having such a kool reptile die on me. it would be to pianful.

I think its cruel that you gave it back to the pet store to suffer. If you cant keep a sick dragon, please never have kids, you cant just go out and shoot them when they get sick, expecially when they can easily recover.

Allisa(sp), Dragons sometimes sleep in water when their scared, its normal.

omg cant u read!!!! i said the pet store was taking care of it, and better thn i probly could. and actaully id feel sry for yr kids. are u jsut gonan listen to only half of what they say thn yell at em. thts what my dad does and we hate eachother
