for those of you who don't know me, I live in port charlotte, Florida. As everyone knows I'm sure we got devistated by Hurrican Charlie. As time goes by and the clean-up makes very slow progress there are days that make you ask why you are here. Today was one of those days. As I was walking out of my house this afternoon I glanced over at a lone pine tree left in my neighborhood and noticed a beautiful bald eagle sitting in some of the few remaining branches. The majestic appearance of this bird just made me realize, we live in the greatest country in the world and a few bad months is nothing compared to the years of prosperity that we have lived and the ones yet to come. if you are refering to the close up there is a reason. the bird was appr. 250 yrds away and my digital camera was on full digi zoom with no tripod. if you think the other pic looks fake then just look at the pine needles around the bird, if i faked it i deserve to work at some of the tabloid mags.

Yeah the close up one.....Very cool, we have a decent # of Bald Eagles here finally, after years without them.

Thankyou for the shots, I enjoyed them anyway.
