Short and fat tail?

fun5oh Oct 14, 2004 01:16 AM

I stopped at a pet store today that I had never been to, and probably will never go to again, for various reasons. Anyways they had 2 Albinos there, very beautiful by the way, but not very well taken care of. The guy told me they were about 4 months old, they were about 4 inches long total. The one had a fairly fat tail, but the other ones tail was REALLY fat, and only about an inch long, it was like a marble was in there, really strange looking. Does anybody know what caused this? The owner didn't know, which didn't suprise me.... I don't own any geckos yet, I am reading alot about them and am really curious as to what this was caused from. If anybody knows please fill me in.
Thanks in advance,
Robin

Was the tail discolored and didn't have the regular rings to them?

It sounds like their regenerated tails. A bad sign that those leos havne't been well looked after. They're perfectly fine but conditions weren't great so they dropped or had lost their tails.

I've been to one pet store where the leo had started growing 2 tails from one bulb. It looked very odd, basically 2 nubs off of one
