A few questions.

justinmatthew Jun 28, 2003 11:22 AM

I am currently considering purchasing one or two cornsnakes in the near future and while I know the basics of cornsnakes and snakes in general from my keeping of kings, and through various reading and care sheets there are a few of questions I have regarding the housing of multiple corns. Does it matter the sex of the corns housed together? Can more than two be housed together? What problems arise from multiple snakes together? I am already aware of the problems with feeding. If I purchase two, from the same dealer do I have to quarintine them for a time. Thanks for any help in advance.

Yes you can keep two or more in a cage if the size is sufficient. Like most snakes though you do not want to keep two male in with one female during mating season. I have also found it is not a good idea to keep the males with the female once they are gravid. This tends to stress the female out.
