New With Beardies Please Help!!!!!!!!!

wsurugby10 Oct 14, 2004 09:43 AM

Hi I have a few questions and I hope someone out there can help me out. I have a 65 gallon tank (36"x18"24" and I was wondering if that was big enough for a beardie? If I do get two beardies how much bigger do I need to get? Also what do the temps. need to be and humidity and stuff like that? I could use your help. Thanks for your time.

That should be large enough for 1 beardie, you really don't ever want to house 2 together except for breeding times. Check my site for other general care info the link is in my signature.

I disagree with the last post. I have a 80 gallon tank, started with a female and a male that were from the same clutch. The male was a little on the (slow side) with a tail nip that turned into a bat tail. She passed away at 4 1/2 years old. since then I added another male and female and we just had our first clutch of eggs. My loveys are super happy and play together all day long. They come out at night to hang out as they are super spoyled.
