Night temps????

anson Oct 14, 2004 10:49 AM

Should night time temps remain the same as day time temps for ball pythons or should they go a bit lower?

Same unless breeding.

Depends on whether you are cooling them for breeding. If you are not intent upon breeding, the ambient temp can remain the same 24/7. If the night time temp falls slightly - no worries.
If you are cooling ready to breed, then you will need to reduce the daylight hours to 10 and increase the nightime hours to 14; reducing the night time temps to around the 70 degrees F. Day time temps remain constant throughout the year.
