What ya can do with acrylics .....

junglehabitats Oct 14, 2004 01:07 PM

Well I had some left over Acrylic from a recent build and decided to build a smaller scale prototype cage all acrylic.

Heres what it came up to 31"x14"x9" and i made it a double cage w/ folding doors. still have to add my venting holes to it but this is 99.5% done lol its heated with a 1ft section of 11" 20watt flexwatt so it heats both sides of the cages from the middle. let me know what ya think of it ...

It actually can be used two ways ... either as a cage or a show display all depends on the way its turned lol you can see in one pic the solid front and it is heat bent so no seam to the front just a nice " rolled edge"

you can see the heat tape sticking outthe "front side" the tape can be flipped so it doesnt stick out all depends on the use

They'd be excellent for invertebrate displays as well. I'll be sure to keep you bookmarked for future reference.
