I'm new to the snake scene, so I have lots of questions. One of them is about how much you should feed your snake. I've read through some posts on here and heard of one mouse a week, 3 mice a week, one rat every week, and so on. I know it changes with age and all but I was wondering if i've been overfeeding my snake. She is a 3 year old normal c/b female and I've been feeding her 5 large live mice a week, and she usually is still snappy and acts like she wants more. I want to switch her to f/t rats but I don't know how many/what size to give her. And I don't want to make her obese (can snakes get obese?) She might not be handled every day but I let her out to roam around for at the least 30 minutes a day. Is there a chance I could be overfeeding her and if so is there any way I can help her adjust to a lowered diet? And is 30 minutes - one hour of "excercise" time too much to be giving her?
Just some questions I have. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
