About how many days after mating can you tell whether or not the female has eggs?

About how many days after mating does it take for eggs to be laid?

Forgot to say that they are veileds.

Sometimes the first mating doesn't take so the bast thing to do is allow her to see the male up close again. If she is gravid her color will change and she will get visibly upset at his presence or any other male. Look for a dark slate background with orange, green, yellow and blue markings.

Oh ok that's exactly what I needed to know, thanks.

Hey,
Once you've determined that she is indeed gravid, it usually takes around 3-4 weeks before she's ready to lay,if this is her first clutch.) However, female veileds, like many other lizards, can retain the sperm. So there's a lot of room for variation.
Hope this helps at least a little bit.
