Ceramic lights

gurnham4 Oct 14, 2004 11:04 PM

do ceramic lights (like one made by ZooMed Ceramic Heat Emitters ) actually give off light? I'm looking for a heating system that does not emit light (undertank heaters aren't getting hot enough for my tank) I have a 15 gallon, what wattage/volt would you guys get for a 15 gallon?

Nope, no light, I don't know what watt you should get though, sorry, but the ones I have seen always state what size tank it is suited for right on the package.

The pic on Petsmart web site of the ZooMed Ceramic Heat Emitters is the exact same as the one I have. No light. Also the 100 watt one they show says it is rated for 40-50 gal tank. I just keep mine raised above the screen and I heat a tank much smaller than mine is rated for.
