Leos are not eating well

kk Oct 15, 2004 01:22 AM

Hello, I have four leos, and about a week ago i moved my full grown leo into a 55 gallon tank. He always ate fine, and never would go more then two days with out eating, but now i have not seen him eat, could this be because if his new surroundings?? I also had three leos and in a 20 gallon tank, and the smallest leo was rarely eating, and he is pretty skin, and his till is pretty skinny too, but I moved him into a 10 gallon thinking he would eat more, but it has only been a day and I have not fed him yet. I think he will start eating more now in a smaller tank. But my main concern is my full grown leo in the 55 gallon tank, and the fact that he hasnt been eating. If anyone has any ideas or can help that would be great.

thank you

Karl K

Hi, First off, What are you waiting for, feed that skinny leo, feed him every day if he will eat. Your big leo is probably stressed by the move and maybe by too large an area too. Does he move around the tank at all? If he has still got a good fat tail you can give him longer to adjust and see how it goes. Make sure he has plenty of hiding spots available. Good luck And feed that skinny one.

My skinny leo ate last night, and hopefully he will eat agian tonight. My large leo walks around a lot, and has three hides, but didnt eat last night. Im going to try again tonight, but im going to place the crickets in a dish, so that way they cant run and hide and will be easy form him to catch.

thanks
