Last night she gave birth to eight healthy babies. I believe it was only a couple of weeks ago that she also had eight. Right after she gave birth the pair went at it again. My two other females are pregnant for the first time. I started out with one pair and now I have enough breeders for a steady supply of feeder hamsters. No more need for smelly mice, but I don't look forward to feeding off my first breeding pair. I've had them for so long and they've provided my snakes with so much food. I don't want to feed the cute hamsters either, but they are so much better than mice. I am going to make a co2 chamber to make it easier. If anyone is thinking of breeding dwarf hamsters instead of mice I highly recommend it. It will take a while to get them started but it's worth it, and once they get going the don't stop.
