Lately I have been obsessed with trying to take better pictures. I decided one night that just because my digital camera is the LG picture phone that does niot give me an excuse for being a terrible photographer. Here are some pics I took of two somewhat small snakes on a black end table. I had a light in one hand and the camera phone in the other so working with the snake for a position was just not possible. This phone has no flash and these were taken inside and the only light is pretty much what I was holding. How did I do? Am I getting better or do thse stink just as bad?

not a ball but It was small and new so I figured I needed a shot or it.

If I were you, I get a better camera. Here's a pic taken with an OLD Sony Cybershot. It's only a 1.3 mp if that tells you anything. I love this camera. You can probably find one for about $100 now. There's really not alot you can do with a camera phone.

I am looking at my hand now and that picture looks more real than what is in front of my face. Nice shot. Here is a shot I took with my parents digital camera outside but I dont know how much better I am at taking pics. Or maybe they have a weak camera as well.

this has been posted before and it is the same pastel but the camera and light is the same as the E. murinus...

That's much better. To me focus is everything.....although my pics aren't always as crisp as I'd like them to be. I like good close-up shots and take most of my pics in Macro mode. Here's another good example.

Sorry for the non-ball pics. I'll get some of those up soon.

That's the camera. It's old, but it's such a great camera. I had a Nikon before I took it back and got the Sony. I love the ease of use.

Just kidding, the lighting does help but only so much you can do with the limited pixel count.

When I take pics I take a ton. Take 20 maybe more of the same thing. Then I load them and find that maybe two of them are worthy of keeping. That's what's nice about digital. It would cost a fortune using conventional photography.

Yeah...but conventional photography (along with manual exposure) forces you to actually learn how to use a camera...to get the shots you imagine...instead of relying on the luck factor.

good point, and with traditional if you have some idea of what you are doing you can get the shot within 1-2 pictures. Which reminds me it is time to get all the kids out for new pictures one of these days.
