They have very very well developed fangs as shown but the image below. Their venom is also very potent and they can cause lethalities quite easily. I rate keeping them as on the same level as mambas or taipans. Truly only for very advanced keepers. The antivenom is very expensive relative to the other African antivenoms and also much harder to get. We made sure to have four ampoules on hand while we had a colony of eighteen.
