The savy opistoglyph reviewer...will note the typical deep-prolonged..... envenomating bite.
The regal does not behave as though it knows this tong offered prey is alive or f/t....it acts as it does w/ live prey.
The same feeding effort [35 min] on another serpent would have resulted in a much more distended regalis...and ....presumably....a longer interval before it would need to expose itself again.....
